Rev. Ervin Milton
I’ve tried to be that bridge that brings cultures and colors together.
Surrounded by divides in both his childhood and present life, Reverend Milton stresses the importance of living in harmony both with ourselves and with one another. He urges us to do what is right, even if nobody is doing it.
He describes his understanding of faith and spirituality as being like meat and gravy, meat being the hefty, intellectual part of the church, and the gravy being the more common and comforting part of faith. He puts deliberate effort into combining different ideas and cultural sensitivities into creating an atmosphere where everyone is welcome.
Reverend Milton continues to inspire the community through his adherence to living and appreciating the present, and his devotion to creating a space for all.
