Terry Moore was born in 1958 in Alamance County. He lived in a small community called Petersburg. In the ‘50s and ‘60s, segregation meant that his family stayed close to home and never ventured far out. Growing up, he made many sacrifices for his family and worked many jobs to provide for them.
Moore loves to help others any chance that he gets. He is a pool technician and utility staff person in Burlington Recreation & Parks. Whenever anyone needs anything, he is there to help out and he takes great pride in his work at Recreation & Parks. He dreams of a community where everyone is safe and free.
