Protects university students, employees, and property from any preventable harm or danger. Engages in a variety of police activities such as patrolling, investigation, law enforcement, crime prevention and detection.

Campus Safety

Positions in this sub-family are responsible for providing general security to buildings and equipment for the campus community, not involving law enforcement responsibilities. Duties include unarmed patrols and monitoring or controlling access to university buildings.

Dispatch

Positions in this sub-family respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service. Monitors field activity and records confidential information into Law Enforcement Databases.

Police

Positions in this sub-family are responsible for law enforcement and safety activities within designated jurisdiction. Duties include coordinating or performing the duties of a campus Police Officer or Security Officer such as patrol and response, crime prevention, investigations, education, training, regulatory enforcement, security, access control, traffic control, and other public safety functions.
