Headline: Internet enables, enhances daily life

Nutshell: All aspects of a household can be managed from the Internet (in a converged set top box, of course), from which bills are due to what pills to take at what time to what television programming you order.

Vision:

In the future our household Internet will be the family’s "mission control" for managing all aspects of the family’s life. This will include personalized content in many areas of our daily life. For medical needs we can program everything from reminders to take medications to news alerts when health findings relative to your family’s needs are uncovered. The Internet will also enable tailored household entertainment programming, allowing families to choose which shows you’d like to watch, what interactive video games can be accessed in your home, and which commercial advertisements you wish to receive. In the household management side, the Internet will allow bill pay alerts, as well as notification when household supplies (such as toilet paper or paper towels) are low and a financial wizard for managing bill payments – which will, of course, be completely done online.
