Technology changes so quickly and by such chance, that predicting the future of the internet is a futile effort. However, people will always be people – governed by paranoia and greed. The chances of things like thought-driven computing and internet-enabled telepathic communication are slim, as the production of such technologies will be hampered by their creators’ ability to prove their safety.
