The Student Union Board

The purpose of the Student Union Board is to provide the Elon community with a variety of entertaining programs. The student-run program has a budget of approximately $140,000. SUB programs range from movies and comedians to major speakers and concerts.

SUB hosts over 75 events each semester. Elon has enjoyed visits from Dave Chappelle, Maroon 5, Mike Birbiglia, Reel Big Fish, Emerson Drive, Gavin DeGraw, Matt Nathanson, Josh Kelley, O.A.R, Jack’s Mannequinn, Sister Hazel, Lupe Fiasco and Girl Talk. With the exception of the spring concert, all of SUB sponsored events are free to students.

SUB sponsors programs every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night during the academic year:

      THURSDAYS—Midnight Meals in the Zone or McKinnon at 11:00pm
               FREE food and entertainment

      FRIDAYS—SUBlive at Lighthouse at 10:00pm
               $3 cover charge, $5 cover charge if under 21

      SATURDAYS—SUBCinema at 8:00pm
               Young Commons (rain location in McKinnon)
