Purpose:
The Elon University Interfraternity Council governs
the male fraternities that are members of the North
American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) and believes
that true fraternity is nurtured in an atmosphere of
social and moral responsibility, respect for duly
constituted authority, and loyalty to the principles of
higher education.
Interfraternity Council meetings are held every
Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Moseley 217.

awareness for risk-management policies on Elon
University campus in order to decrease activity
detrimental to Greek Life, especially all IFC
organizations

To work with IFC
organizations to promote more positive behavior,
especially involving alcohol and hazing related
activity, that will provide men in Greek Life with a
better image on Elon University campus as well as the
local and greater communities

To provide a
strong student run judicial recommending board so
that IFC organizations are comfortable with the
fairness of sanctions in order to maintain a united
IFC.

Begin
a recruitment workshop for all of the
fraternities focusing on their specific
recruitment. This will take place
during the Spring and the Fall
Semesters.
- Ideal Chapter…What is it?
- Brag on yourselves
- Remind everyone in the chapter why
they joined an organization
- Make a wish list
- Watch what you put on t-shirts.
(A t-shirt won’t get a kid to join
a fraternity, but it will
make someone decide not to.)

Increase the fall
class numbers by approaching each fraternity and not
just throwing one large IFC event.

Bring David
Stallman to Elon to talk to Fraternities about
Recruitment….Sororities?

Focus on cutting
down stereotypes for all of Greek Life.

Increase numbers
in Spring Recruitment in hopes of obtaining more
quality guys.

Two Fun Sober IFC
events, and if it seems like a waste of money, talk
about the possibility of giving chapters money in
order to recruit.

Possibility of IFC
sponsored tailgate in the Greek Courts.
