How does the matching gift program work?

When you make a gift to any Elon designation, your employer makes a gift in your name as well. For example, if you make a gift of $250, your employer may contribute a corresponding gift ranging from $250 to $500, depending on your company’s matching policy.

What are the advantages?

As a donor, you will be credited with the total contribution, including the corporate match. Matching gifts are a great way to increase your impact on the campus designations closest to your heart.

What do I need to do to get started?

Each company is a little different, and we’re here to help. Typically, it’s as easy as three easy steps:

  1. Contact your employee’s human resources department to see if they offer a matching gift program, or use our search tool above.
  2. Complete the online a matching gift form. Or request, complete and submit to giving@elon.edu a paper copy from your human resources department.
  3. Email giving@elon.edu and let us know to expect your matching gift.
