On Tuesday, May 16, members of Elon’s Class of 2023 will gather Under the Oaks for a special reimagining of the baccalaureate ceremony that’s designed to bring together Elon traditions in a new celebration of community, light and achievement. The program will include reflections from graduating seniors, multifaith blessings, and a special candle lighting ceremony symbolic of Elon’s motto, Numen Lumen. Additionally, the members of class will receive their oak saplings from alumni at the end of this special event.

We are looking for local alumni to participate in this important tradition during Senior Baccalaureate on Tuesday, May 16, from 6:45 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Volunteer duties include greeting students at the event, handing out programs, lighting candles and handing out saplings to the senior class.
