Koury Business Center
This building has a dramatic three-level oval fountain and brick plaza gracing the building’s front entrance. The James B. and Anne Ellington Powell Foyer is a welcoming lobby large enough for receptions and gatherings. Three spacious atriums, named for 1932 Elon alumnus John Lowry, Elon parents Bill and Pat Inman and in honor of former Love School of Business Dean John Burbridge by the school’s advisory board, are located adjacent to faculty offices and provide a welcoming place for students to study and consult with faculty members. Each atrium has a collaborative computer station that allows faculty and students to plug in laptops and connect to a 30-inch computer display. Also in this space is the Larose digital Theater.
This 74,000-square-foot facility serves as the hub of campus activity, featuring offices for student organizations, conference rooms, a fireplace lounge, campus mail service, the Octagon Cafe, a game room and much more.
The building includes a lounge, study rooms, offices for student leaders and meeting space. The facility also serves as the new home of Elon’s office of campus safety and police.
Center for the Arts
This is a 75,000-square-foot facility specifically designed for teaching and performance. The centerpiece stage is McCrary Theatre, a large fully equipped theatre and concert hall. The 125-seat Yeager Recital Hall offers a more intimate setting along with digital recording capabilities. The center’s 100-seat Black Box Theatre can be configured to any arrangement from proscenium to arena. Behind the scenes, the Center for the Arts includes modular practice rooms and studios, acting studio, rehearsal rooms, a complete scenery shop and costume shop, computer labs, classrooms and Steinway concert grand pianos.
Elon's 54,000 square foot recreation and athletic facility, features a fitness center, group exercise studios, indoor pool, gymnasium and racquetball courts. There were over 166,000 participant visits to the Campus Recreation facility in 2007-2008. Koury Center is also home to Alumni Gym which can hold 1558 conference/meeting seating or 2200 reception, auditorium/tiered seating.
Holt Chapel is a historic building which recently became part of Elon's campus. A stately steeple tops this red-brick chapel which is the host of a myriad of events ranging from weddings to large organization meetings. Formerly part of Elon Homes for Children, Holt Chapel holds up to 120 in its main meeting room, with an open group space on the lower floor. chairs available for your set-up and tables can be reserved as well.
This building houses the Alumni Center, parent programs and institutional advancement offices. The building was previously a part of the Elon Homes for Children campus.
There are numerous locations on campus that offer convenient meeting spaces for smaller groups or classes. Many of these spaces come equipped with Crestron Control System, data projector, VCR, DVD player, computer VGA connection, sound system, overhead projector, screen and a white/chalk board.
