Name: jason

From: Hawaii

Bio: sci-fi fan and avid internet user

Area of Expertise: Legislator/Politician/Lawyer

Topic: Community/Culture

Headline: Netstricts will be formed, layering the Internet

Nutshell: There will be an internet that is organized into districts where different online communitites can get together.

Vision: The nebulous and ad hoc structure of the internet is much like the slums and shanty towns of the early 20th century. Abandoned and decaying sites are located right next to thriving communities, the slums overflowing onto pristine resort lawns.

Restricted access at all levels will separate society into haves and have-nots, children and adults, white and other, male and female. Access will be granted as you become a member of each group.

Each member of a community will become invested in certain netstricts and this promote a cohesive voice for some communities which will then demand improvements and change.

The internet and society will benefit as a whole through liberal but comprehensive restrictions.
