Name: Lion Kimbro From: Washington Bio: Communications technology writer, developer, & researcher for open future studies. Area of Expertise: Pioneer/Originator Topic: Communication Headline: Developer's Virtual World Nutshell: It will be possible to watch people make stuff. Vision: Right now, people write code offline, out of the view of other people. Then they commit it. I have 4-of-5-star confidence that by 2010, there will be easily accessible communities online where people are writing code, character for character, in full view of others. This is exciting, because it will take a lot of the mystery out of the coding, beginners will see "how it's done," and it'll be easy for experts to help beginners get past their first fumbling steps.
