Dr. Brandon Essary
Research/Creative Interests
I am interested in Italian Studies, especially medieval and Renaissance literature. I am interested in Game Studies, especially when video games intersect with medieval literature (e.g., Dante’s Inferno) and Renaissance history (Assassin’s Creed). I leverage these phenomena in Scholarship of Teaching and Learning projects that offer fun and engaging activities, lessons, and courses (Dante’s Inferno Core Capstone; Renaissance Italy–Video Games vs. Reality study abroad course, etc.).
