Resources for Teaching & Learning

A central focus of CATL’s mission is to foster innovative, evidence-based teaching and learning practices and critical reflection in a range of teaching and learning contexts.

Here you will find short guides with links to longer bibliographies and resources for teaching and learning. These resources focus on the art and science of college teaching, from effective course or assignment design, to recent learning science research and its potential classroom application, to methods for effective (and efficient) grading and feedback or even ways to fine-tune common teaching methods, such as discussion-leading, interactive lecturing, or teaching with case studies.

You can search the CATL/CEL library holdings for recent books on teaching, learning, and academic practice via the Belk Library database or browse the shelves in Belk Pavilion, room 111.
