Bethany Fearnow, BS, CHSE
Mrs. Bethany Fearnow joined the Elon’s School of Health Sciences staff in June 2022. She has worked in the simulation world since 2018. As the Simulation Coordinator, she oversees simulated participants, booking of clients, and other daily operations. She enjoys seeing the students become excited as their didactic studies become real-life situations in simulation. Mrs. Fearnow’s research interests include student self-efficacy in simulation, simulation creation within a curriculum, and simulated participant training.

Taylor Yowan, Elon Charlotte Simulation Coordinator
Elon Charlotte Simulation Coordinator
Taylor Yowan, BS
Ms. Taylor Yowan joined Elon’s School of Health Sciences in July 2026 as the Simulation Coordinator for the Charlotte Campus. She brings experience in simulated participant program development, simulation operations, and educational technology. Ms. Yowan supports faculty and learners through coordination of simulated participants, skills assessments, and immersive learning experiences designed to build confidence and prepare learners for professional practice. Her professional interests include simulation program development, emerging simulation technologies, interprofessional education, and innovative approaches to healthcare education.

Angel Hernandez, Simulation Specialist

Angel Hernandez, CMA, CPT
Mrs. Angel Hernandez joined the Elon’s School of Health Sciences staff in March 2024. She brings a wealth of medical assisting knowledge from her previous position, of nine years, at the Elon Student/Faculty/Staff Clinic. As the Simulation Specialist, she works alongside the Simulation Coordinator ensuring best practices within all simulation activities and is advancing her knowledge in simulation technology. She enjoys the safe-learning environment that simulation provides for the students knowing that they will take their experience and translate it to clinical knowledge.
