Elon 1010

Accelerated Pathway students will be enrolled in Elon 1010 as a cohort. Elon 1010 is a first-year seminar course with a foundation in academic advising that introduces first-year students to the Elon University community. Centered on the whole student, Elon 1010 assists students with developing a holistic plan focused on academic planning, experiential learning, and co-curricular engagement. The course is taught by Tracey Thurnes, the director of the Accelerated Pathways Program who serves as the students’ first year academic advisor.

Undergraduate Advising

Once students have declared a major, they will work closely with their undergraduate major advisor to promote advancement in their field of study.

School of Health Sciences (SHS) Advising

To help ensure academic and professional readiness for Elon’s graduate PA and PT programs, students will meet regularly during the school year with their SHS advisor. Additionally, students will complete an online advisement session each summer with the SHS advisor to discuss performance within the Accelerated Pathways Program and progress in their graduation plan.
