Research/Creative Interests

My research interests center exploring diversity, equity, and inclusion, in higher education and in the public relations industry, through research related to pedagogy, digital activism, corporate social advocacy, and relationship management. At its core, my research seeks to equip organizations with a better understanding of how to authentically communicate with diverse audiences to build and maintain mutually-beneficial relationships.

What types of “data” do you commonly use?

Under the belief that the question should drive the method, I use various types of data in my research; incorporating quantitative, qualitative, and computational methods and analyses.

What types of collaborations are you open to?

I am open to working with students, faculty, or staff, particularly on projects related to social media, perceived authenticity of messages, or student sense of belonging.
