Research/Creative Interests

My research centers around identifying health communication strategies to improve adolescent and women’s health, particularly in the area of gender-based violence. Much of my research deals with digital and social media as popular and effective channels for persuasive communication. I enjoy solving methodological challenges and finding creative ways to answer complex research questions.

What types of “data” do you commonly use?

I am a mixed-methods researcher with a preference for quantitative methods. I am comfortable with a range of research methods, but most often design studies using digital experiments, surveys, and content analysis.

What types of collaborations are you open to?

I am open to working with students, staff and other faculty. I am an interdisciplinary scholar who can collaborate and/or advise on research projects that explore communication and/or digital media as tools for health issue intervention.
