What is Senior Class Giving?
Senior class giving is an initiative that encourages students of the graduating class to leave a legacy for the students that follow behind them. Seniors can make a gift to the area of campus that they love most, or that has most impacted their Elon experience, to help their class reach its goal. Giving back is one way to keep the alumni community strong and united for the graduates of tomorrow.

What's the background on senior class giving?
For over 100 years, Elon students have been dedicated to giving back to their university. What began as contributions for campus beautification has evolved into support for scholarships, study abroad programs and a wide array of impactful initiatives. Today, students contribute to over 100 campus funds annually, continuing a legacy of generosity and support for future Phoenix. These efforts are now a part of the senior class giving initiative and what the Phoenix Give Back committee promotes.

How can I get involved?
The Phoenix Give Back senior class giving committee welcomes volunteers on a rolling basis. Please contact Rachel Garner ’25, Coordinator of Annual Giving, at rgarner4@elon.edu to learn more about this important leadership opportunity and the many perks it offers!
How can I make my gift?
You can give online using our website, or give using @ElonGiving on Venmo. On Venmo, include your name, class year, and where you’d like your gift to go on campus (for example: Elon’s Greatest Needs, Elon Athletics, an academic school or department, etc.).
You can also call us to make a credit card gift over the phone! Call Elon toll-free at 877.784.ELON (3566).
Where can I give?
You decide exactly where your gift goes. Yes, really! You choose which part of campus you want to support. With hundreds of different funds to choose from, find what matters most to you and make your impact there.
Examples include: Your major, your fave student org, scholarships, Phoenix Club and much more.
How does my donation make a difference?
Every gift, regardless of size, significantly enhances the Elon experience for all students. Your contributions fund scholarships, enrich academic programs, support student activities and much more! Truly, every dollar counts.
Isn't my tuition enough?
Tuition covers just 80% of your Elon experience and donors bridge the gap. The other 20% is fueled by the generous support from Elon alumni, students, parents, grandparents, corporations/foundations, faculty/staff and friends.
Tuition makes Elon function, while private gifts make your experience transformational. Without it, you would not have many of the opportunities that enrich your time here.
With donor funds, your friend gets to study abroad and your roommate gets to present their research. With donor funds, your fave student org can host speakers and events. And with donor funds, your BFF gets to attend Elon when they never thought it would be possible. Donor support makes all of this and more happen.
