Navigate Your Career Project
In support of Boldly Elon strategic plan goals, Elon University is conducting a comprehensive review of employee job classifications and compensation, beginning with permanent staff positions. A review of faculty positions will take place in future phases.
The goals of the Navigate Your Career Project are:
- To better recruit, support, reward and retain Elon’s exceptional faculty and staff
- To better support professional development of Elon employees across all stages of their careers
The Navigate Your Career Project is being led by Elon’s Office of Human Resources with assistance from a consulting firm. Progress updates and other information will be shared on this webpage, periodic emails, newsletters and open forums.
Creating a job architecture system
Elon is developing a staff job architecture that will standardize position descriptions and classifications across the university and create a framework that clearly delineates pathways for career development and professional growth.
Once Elon’s staff job architecture is developed, a multi-year compensation plan will be implemented to align Elon staff pay levels with appropriate market benchmarks, beginning in June 2023. Faculty compensation will continue to be reviewed during this time as has been done in the past.
