SGA Brand Kit

All organizations receiving SGA funding are required to include the statement “Funded by SGA” and prominently display the SGA logo on all promotional materials, per the Finance Bylaws (Article IV, Section C, Subsection J). This page has everything you need to meet that requirement: downloadable logo files, the required statement, and quick usage rules.

Both logos are transparent PNGs, ready to drop onto flyers, programs, tickets, and social media graphics.

The Required Statement

All marketing for your funded event (including your PhoenixCONNECT event listing) must visibly include:

“Funded by SGA”

This applies to all promotional items, including but not limited to flyers, programs, tickets, and social media posts. For social media, the statement may appear on the graphic itself or in the caption, as long as the logo appears on the graphic. Failure to include the statement and logo may jeopardize your organization’s access to future funding.

Logo Usage Rules

  • Keep it proportional: never stretch, squish, or rotate the logo
  • Keep it legible: minimum size of 0.5 inches on print materials and 100px on digital graphics
  • Keep it clear: leave breathing room around the logo; don’t crowd it with text or other graphics
  • Don’t modify it: no recoloring, outlines, drop shadows, or other effects
  • Pick the right version: full-color circular logo on light backgrounds, white text version on dark backgrounds or photos

Need Help With Your Materials?

If you’d like support creating or modifying promotional materials for your funded event — or you’re not sure whether your design meets the requirement — contact Tyler Mastrangelo, SGA Vice President of Communications, at tmastrangelo@elon.edu. Happy to help before you print or post.

Note: the SGA logo requirement is separate from Elon University’s brand guidelines. Use of the university’s name or logo on merchandise or fundraising materials requires separate approval — see the Student Handbook or contact Student Involvement (Moseley 205).
