LGBTQIA Alumni Network Roles and Committees
Elon’s LGBTQIA alumni network includes the following roles and committees:
Leads the LGBTQIA Alumni Network Leadership Team, developing the network’s strategic plan and ensuring it aligns with the university’s mission and priorities. The President guides the leadership team towards accomplishing their collective goals and provides a line of accountability for all leadership team members.
Manage the records of the network, including the documentation of responsibilities and successes. This role also assists the President with scheduling and other logistics items, and provides on-boarding for new leadership team members.

In addition, the committee helps market the LGBTQIA Alumni Network (including at university and community events), assists with maintenance of the main website, curates content for quarterly newsletter, and manages the network’s social media platforms.
Events & Programming
Create a safe and fun environment for LGBTQIA students, alumni, faculty, staff and their families at key events, including activities organized at Elon’s annual Homecoming. Throughout the year, this committee also hosts or co-hosts special events including social, service and educational events for the community and their families.
Philanthropy & Stewardship
Coordinate and implement the LGBTQIA Alumni Network Leadership Team’s fundraising and stewardship goals in partnership with the President, Office of Alumni Engagement, and Gender & LGBTQIA Center. The committee will help develop messages and campaigns that encourage giving, develop an annual plan for a long-term fundraising goal, and follow-up with donors on a regular basis.
