Kai Bilotta (they/them)

Presentations and Trainings Manager for the Gender & LGBTQIA Center (GLC) Class of 2024

Hello! I’m from Albuquerque, NM and I’m majoring in Accounting and Computer Science and minoring in Data Science. In addition to working at the GLC, I’m a Business Fellow and a member of Out in STEM at Elon. You can often find me cross-stitching, crocheting, or settling down with a good book! One of my favorites is Real Queer America by Samantha Allen. While working at the GLC, I hope to help others find the resources they need to succeed at Elon – come by and talk sometime!

 

 

 

Oliver McGowan (they/he)

CLEAR Manager for the Gender & LGBTQIA Center (GLC) Class of 2024

CLEAR- (Coalition of Learning, Empowerment, & Anti-Violence Resources)

Hey y’all! I am a Policy Studies and Political Science major with a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I am from Fort Mill, SC and I lead the CLEAR team (Coalition of learning, empowerment, and anti-violence resources). I am a part of Elon’s wind ensemble and club climbing and a member of the Girl Scouts and the World Scouting Organization. When I am not at the GLC, you can find me outside, going on hikes and camping, or inside playing my oboe and eating cookies.

 

James Hemmingway (he/they)

Communications and Resources Manager for the Gender & LGBTQIA Center (GLC) Class of 2025

Hello! My name is James Hemmingway and I am from Parkland, FL.  I am double majoring in Marketing and Public Health with a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexualities Studies. I am ecstatic to be working at the GLC and hope to continue to foster a safe and welcoming space for all our LGBT+ students and faculty here at Elon. I am especially passionate about fostering a community for LGBTQIA students through our bi-annual trans and queer art showcase and am here to direct students to any resources they might need. When I am not working, I love to write songs and poetry and enjoy being creative in many facets of life. If you have any questions or just want to pop in, come visit the GLC and give me a holler!

Hello! My name is Ana and I am from McAllen, TX. I am a Supply Chain Management major with a minor in Interreligious studies. I am so happy to be a part of the GLC’s team and want to create a warm and welcoming environment for Elon students. I love to read and watch new tv shows. In addition, I am an Odyssey scholar and the Event Coordinator of the Latinx-Hispanic Union. Feel free to stop by the office and say hi!

Hey everyone! My name is Rachel and I’m from Plattsburgh, New York, which is basically Canada. I’m a Music Production and Recording Arts major with a Business Administration minor. When not at work, you can find me playing on the Drumline for Elon’s marching band, the Fire of the Carolinas. I co-wrote/produced the GLC’s theme song for Elon Day, yes that’s me singing. I’m a HUGE basketball fan so if you need someone to rant about the NBA/WNBA with, I’m your person. In the past, I’ve worked on the Communications and Resources team while currently, I’m on the Events and Student Programs team. Hey all! I’m from Staunton, VA, and a member of the GLC’s Communications and Resources team. I’m a Theatrical Design & Technology major. In addition, I’m a College Fellow and a member of Elon’s marching band, The Fire of the Carolinas. I love doing arts and crafts projects, cross-stitching, or writing. Hi, everyone! My name is Morgan Micharski, and I’m very excited to be a member of the GLC’s Communications and Resources team. I’m from Hamilton, New Jersey, and I’m double majoring in Chemistry and Astronomy here at Elon. When I’m not at the GLC, you can find me reading, playing video games, or grabbing a coffee at Oak House! Madeleine Hollenbeck (she/her)

Hello! My name is Madeleine Hollenbeck and I’m from Maplewood, New Jersey. I am a part of the CLEAR Team (Coalition of Learning, Empowerment, & Anti-Violence Resources) at the GLC. I’m an Art History and Arts Administration double major with minors in Italian Studies, Classical Studies, and Museum Studies & Public History. In addition to working at the GLC, I’m involved with the Elon Art Collection where I can practice working with artifacts and curating exhibits. I’m also the President of the Elon Italian Club and I love to read and paint in my spare time. Currently, I’m rereading the Harry Potter books in addition to some Gillian Flynn crime novels! Hi! My name is Sitare Sadeghi, and I am originally from Potomac, MD. I am a sophomore Music Theatre major and Piano Pedagogy minor. I am on the presentations and training team at the GLC. Some fun fact about me is that I am obsessed with chocolate, I LOVE the MCU and Harry Potter, and I love to read. While I’m at the GLC, I hope to foster a welcoming and warm environment for everyone who enters. I love to educate others on LGBTQIA+ history, so feel free to drop by and say hi!

Hi! My name is Natalie Hudson, and I am from Kent, Connecticut. I am part of the Events team here at the GLC and am so excited for all that is happening this year and in the future! I’m going to be studying Business here at Elon, and although I have not declared my major it will probably be Accounting or International Business with a minor in Spanish.
