Class of 2022

Hello, ladies and men and all our non-binary friends! My name is Mac and I’m so excited to be working at the GLC for my third year. I’m from Cary, North Carolina, and Elon is truly my home away from home. I am a Media Analytics major with a minor in Women’s Gender, Sexualities Studies and Leadership Studies. I also work as the Programs Director at WSOE 89.3, our super cool college radio station. I’m in the GLC a lot so please stop by and say hi!

My main goal at the GLC is to inform others about the LGBTQIA+ community and facilitate an inclusive, supportive environment on campus for everyone.

My favorite thing is meeting new people, so don’t be afraid to stop by and say hi!

Hi everyone! My name is Ailene, but everyone calls me Woz. I am a psychology major with a human service studies minor. I am also an Elon College Fellow, VP for club volleyball, and a member of Tri Delta. However, I always find time to binge-watch a new TV show, gush about my dog and niece and nephew, jam to One Direction/Harry Styles, and dye my hair to drive my mom crazy. I am so excited to be working in the GLC on both the Presentations and Trainings team and the Gender-Based Violence Prevention team. My goal working here is to make more people aware of the resources and community for LGBTQIA people on campus. Please stop by the GLC anytime to say hi, and I’ll probably end up talking to you for way longer than you bargained for!

Class of 2022

Hey, y’all! My name is Bryson Smith and I’m from LaGrange, Georgia. I major in Music Production and Recording Arts and I minor in Peace & Conflict Studies. In addition to working at the GLC, I’m also the Music Director for the all-male a cappella group Smooth Progressions, a regular columnist with WSOE (Elon’s on-campus media conglomerate), an Elon College Fellow, and an artist at Limelight Records (Elon’s on-campus record label). In my off time, I enjoy discovering new music, meeting new people, and learning new instruments!
I’m particularly excited to be on the Gender-based Violence Prevention Team and the Events and Student Programs team. This year, our events look very different, but I’m thrilled to be on the creative team that makes them happen, however unconventionally. The GLC is full of wonderful people, and we are steadfast in our goal to make this campus a place where people feel safe, accepted, and supported. If you want to learn more, stop by and say hey!

Here’s to a great year!

hello! I’m from Albuquerque, NM and I’m majoring in Accounting and Computer Science and minoring in Data Science. In addition to working at the GLC, I’m a Business Fellow and a member of Out in STEM at Elon. You can often find me cross-stitching, crocheting, or settling down with a good book! One of my favorites is Real Queer America by Samantha Allen.

While working at the GLC, I hope to help others find the resources they need to succeed at Elon – come by and talk some time!
