The LGBTQIA Alumni Network works to connect LGBTQIA identifying alumni and continue Elon’s commitment to promoting a tolerant and accepting community.
Bias Incidents (incidents where someone may feel targeted because of their actual or perceived identities) happen all across university campuses, just like in everyday life outside of campus.
The Gender & LGBTQIA Center has recently been allocated funds to assist students in attending conferences. Applications will be reviewed in a timely fashion as they are submitted.
There are on- and off-campus counseling resources available for any and all students who may have questions or be struggling with topics ranging from identity development, coming out, gender transition, coping with stress, and building healthier overall behaviors & selves.
Diversity, Inclusion, and Global Engagement
Diversity, Inclusion, and Global Engagement at Elon are about striving for academic excellence as well as learning to be a responsible member of pluralistic and intersecting communities. We provide students with an education and experiences that work to prepare them for an increasingly interlinked world.
Donate to the Gender & LGBTQIA Center to support our events, programs, and initiatives. Any gift, big or small, is greatly appreciated!
Residence Life along with the Gender & LGBTQIA Center provides many housing options for incoming LGBTQIA students.
LGBTQIA Toolbox is an inclusion modular program for colleges and universities. We offer our services to your campus to help you advance inclusion around gender and sexuality.
Trans at Elon
Elon University offers many services such as name changes, universal restrooms, and guest speakers, as well as other helpful resources for students who identify as transgender.
We have 100 universal bathrooms for our safety and privacy. The term “universal” is used to indicate that people of all genders can use these restrooms, which are single-stall and lockable.
