Calculating Your GPA

Calculate your GPA by dividing your total quality points by the number of hours attempted at Elon only.   Transfer credit hours from other institutions do not affect your GPA and should not be calculated.

Elon 101 (1)* S (only averaged if U)
History 111 3 B 9.0
Math 121 4 A- 14.8

Religion 121 3 C+ 6.9
English 110 3 B+ 9.9

                                                15 hrs attempted                                       46 quality pts

        *(Subtract 1 hour for Elon 101=15 hrs attempted)

                                         3.066 = your GPA
                             15  √ 46.00
                                      -45
                                        100
                                        -  90
                                           100

For subsequent semesters, add new hours attempted to previous hours attempted; add new quality points to previous quality points.  Then divide total quality points by total hours attempted to determine your Cumulative GPA.
