SLLC members reside in Colonnades, Kivette.
“The thing I love most about the SLLC is that we get to decide what we want to do and talk about as a group. Jessica gives us plenty of freedom regarding what LC events we put together, so we always have a lot of fun spending time in nature and learning about the environment.” - Janeé Lomax '17
Off-campus experiences may include a trip to: the local food cooperative, a local farm, recycling facility, reservoir, landfill, LED bulb manufacturing factory, or a hike in a nearby park, etc.
On-campus experiences may include tours or guest speakers who address: green building, local food sourcing, landscaping, student sustainability initiatives, etc.

To live in a learning community students must apply through their housing application via OnTrack. For returning students the application period is generally the second week of January through the second week of February. Incoming first year students have the opportunity to apply to an LLC when they select their housing.
