Campus Committees We Serve On

The Gender & LGBTQIA Center serves on a variety of campuswide committees, to aid in its goals of high campus visibility & advanced diversity education across Elon University's campus:

Anti-Defamation League Cadre

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Cadre is a group of 20+ trained facilitators in the Anti-Defamation League's "Campus of Difference" training meets monthly to coordinate diversity education & techniques for addressing bias and increasing multicultural competence to both student groups and faculty/staff departments across campus.

Inclusive Community Council

The Inclusive Community Council is a campuswide group of key stakeholders across areas of Admissions, Athletics, Diversity Centers, Faculty, Finance, Student Government, etc focuses its attention on advancing dialogue particularly in areas that are less diversity-centered in their day-to-day work.

Male Identity Team

The Male Identity Team is a group of Student Life Professionals who bring male students across areas of Greek Life, Kernodle Center, Athletics, Truitt Center, Multicultural Center, SGA, SPARKS, and Spectrum as a cohort for the Male Identity Project. The students discuss their own masculinities, male privilege, the unwritten expectations that male students experience while at Elon, and how their gender both informs their world & impacts their relationships with women and other men
