Teach for Alamance
Teach for Alamance is a scholarship program that provides full tuition remission and a small stipend to teacher candidate graduates of the Dr. Jo Watts Williams School of Education who wish to enroll in Elon’s Master of Education in Innovation (M.Ed.) program.
Applicants will commit to two years of teaching in the Alamance-Burlington School System (ABSS) and must be employed by ABSS at the time of matriculation to the M.Ed. program and for the duration of their studies. The scholarship is available each year only to teacher candidates graduating in that year. All undergraduate degree requirements must be completed by May and teacher candidates must secure employment in ABSS the year they graduate to be considered for the scholarship.
How to Apply:
- Submit an application to the Elon M.Ed. program
- Scroll down to “Dr. Jo Watts Williams School of Education” and select “Direct Admission (Participate Learning, Teach for Alamance)
- When prompted for an articulation type, select “Teach for Alamance“
This application will be used to consider you for both the Elon M.Ed. program and the Teach for Alamance Scholarship.
