Intended to help make an Elon education available to deserving students, the Black Alumni Scholarship was established in 2007. Thanks to pledges and gifts from EBAN members and friends of the university, the scholarship was endowed in just three years and the first award was given to Janelle Bennett ’14 at the African-American Commencement Reception in May 2011.

To date, alumni and friends have donated more than $1 million to the Black Alumni Scholarship, and the scholarship will be awarded annually to a high-achieving student with demonstrated financial need.

If you haven’t given yet, please know that any and all donations benefit Elon students. With your support, we can do anything we set our minds to. Best of all, we’ve made it easy for you to give. You can make a tax-deductible donation online here or by calling Elon toll-free at 877.784.ELON (3566).
