Alamance Youth Leadership Academy 2015

Eighty-seven students from 10 local middle schools took part this summer in the Alamance Youth Leadership Academy summer program. Throughout the week, students brainstormed strengths of their schools and generated ideas about possible changes that would improve their school environment, such as anti-bullying programs, academic enrichment, community service and facility enhancement. Featured Program Of The Month: AIL

Elon Adventures in Leadership is one of six first year summer experiences. Participants spend a week getting to know other incoming students through hiking, camping, climbing, group initiatives, and white-water rafting.

Elon students will graduate with a greater leadership self-efficacy, the desire and ability to work collaboratively within diverse communities of people, as well as have the confidence and competence to put innovative ideas into action for positive change.

Elon senior awarded Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs

Daniel Sheehan, a human service studies and strategic communications double major, begins his career after Elon with a fellowship in New York City that develops "the next generation of aspiring change makers."
