The Center for Writing Excellence is committed to supporting students, faculty, and staff as they work with and navigate the use of generative AI for writing. The Writing Center has considerations for faculty and students on using AI in The Writing Center, and Writing Across the University has considerations for teaching writing with generative-AI and AI-related fall faculty/staff programming.

Welcome to Elon’s Center for Writing Excellence

The Center for Writing Excellence serves as the unified source of support, collaboration, and inspiration for all cross-campus writing-related activities at Elon. Prominently located on the first floor of Belk Library, the Center for Writing Excellence—comprising the Writing Center and Writing Across the University–is both a physical hub and a symbol of our university’s commitment to the centrality of writing to academic, professional, and civic success.
