Leadership Fellows Common Good Initiatives
Leadership Fellows Common Good Initiatives
The Isabella Cannon Leadership Fellows Program is a four-year experience designed to strengthen students’ leadership skills and empower them to make meaningful impacts on themselves, their communities, and the world. The program fosters a close-knit cohort, providing opportunities for students to build strong mentoring relationships with faculty and staff.
All Fellows complete a Common Good Initiative, a project that combines research and action to address a real-world challenge. Fellows approach these initiatives through the question: “How might we…?” identifying problems and developing innovative solutions that benefit the Elon community and beyond.
During their junior and senior years, Fellows enroll in four hours of undergraduate research, applying their ideas to create positive change on or off campus. They reflect on their work, plan for lasting impact, and present their projects, highlighting their leadership and creative problem-solving. By participating in the program, students also earn two Experiential Learning Requirements—Undergraduate Research and Leadership—fulfilling graduation requirements.
