Don’t Cancel Class
Rather than canceling your class, consider requesting a career advisor to present to your class on career development topics such as resume writing, interviewing, and networking.
Elon University Classroom Presentations
Schedule to have a career advisor from the SPDC present to your class on a range of topics such as resume writing, cover letter writing, interviewing, LinkedIn/networking, and navigating the graduate school application process.
Elon 1010 SPDC Sessions
Schedule a SPDC class presentation for your Elon 1010 students. Presentations provide an overview of the resources and services that SPDC offers, including career and major exploration, resume building, on-campus student employment, and building a LinkedIn profile.
Career Conversations Resources
Faculty and staff across campus have conversations with students about their career goals, challenges, and expectations every day. The SPDC has created resources to assist faculty and staff in helping their students during all phases of their career development including self-discovery, exploring careers, and taking action steps.

Elon University offers resources for faculty and staff including temporary student coverage, the Office of Leadership & Professional Development, and the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning.
SPDC Events and Fairs
The Student Professional Development Center hosts a variety of organizations at Elon throughout the academic year. Examples of employers that have recruited Elon talent include the U.S. State Department, ESPN, PwC, Wells Fargo, and many more.
