Tom Vecchione, Ph.D.

Executive Director of Career Services

Dr. Tom Vecchione is the Executive Director of Career Services. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing all staff and operations associated with the office (including the satellite offices in the Schools of Business and Communication).

Tom arrived at Elon in the spring of 2008. He has more than 18 years professional-level experience in career and students services serving in a variety of roles at institutions such as Ohio State, Northern Colorado and most recently at Ohio Wesleyan University. He firmly believes that Elon students are among the most engaging, motivated and talented in the nation. As such, he and all the staff in The Office of Career Services are passionately dedicated to assisting students throughout their entire time at Elon in preparation for their post-Elon lives.

  • Tom and his wife Jessica are the proud parents of three daughters. Family outings and spending time with friends are regular occurrences at the Vecchione house. Tom also enjoys working out at Elon’s Fitness Center, classic movies, and rooting for The Ohio State University Buckeye Football team!
