Live Oak Communications
Founded in 2007, Live Oak Communications is Elon University's student-run, full-service communications agency. With more than 30 staff members and five to six clients per semester, Live Oak applies energetic new thinking to strategic communications challenges both inside and outside of the university. Agency account executives and creative team members have developed advertising, public relations and integrated marketing programs, including Web site design, print ads, video production, viral marketing, event marketing, database marketing and media relations. In 2008, Live Oak won the “Community Friends” award from Earth Share of North Carolina for an environmental awareness campaign called Campout! Carolina. The agency recently moved into its new office space on Williamson Avenue, where the office is staffed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The faculty director for Live Oak is Lee Bush.
