Would you like to transfer to Elon? Here's
what you need to know about the admissions process for
transfer students.
How to Apply
Here's how to apply as a transfer student:

Get a transfer application and
Dean's Evaluation form by calling the Elon Admissions
Office at 800-334-8448. You can also download
these forms. You may apply online if
you prefer to do so.

Have your final official high school
transcript and SAT or ACT scores sent directly to Elon.
(Elon's school code is 5183 for the
SAT and 3096 for the ACT.) The SAT/ACT may
be waived for some advanced students or nontraditional
students who did not take the test while in high
school.

Ask the registrar of each college you
have attended to mail a transcript of your work directly to
the Elon Admissions Office.

Have the Dean's Evaluation Form completed by the dean
of students at each college you attended. You must be
eligible to return there to qualify for transfer to Elon.
This form is not required if you have earned an associate
degree.

Mail the completed application and any
recommendations that you would like to submit to the
Admissions Office with the processing fee (nonrefundable).
Additional recommendations are not required but will be
considered as part of the application review process if
submitted.

International
Students must submit the
Visa Clearance Form if they are a non US citizen
seeking to transfer from another college or university in
the United States.
Admission
Requirements
Transfer students are admitted to Elon based on
their academic record at the institution from which they are
transferring.
To
be considered for transfer admission, the student is expected to have
satisfactory completion of at least 24 hours (2 fulltime semesters) of
transferable college credits with a minimum cumulative 2.7 grade point
average, to be eligible to return to all institutions attended and to
be recommended by college officials.
A minimum of 132 semester hours of credit is required for
the bachelor's degree. At least 60 semester hours must be
completed at Elon, including the last term before
graduation.
Note:
Students seeking the B.S. degree in Business Administration must earn
at least 50 percent of the business credit hours at Elon. At least 50
percent of the accounting credit hours required for the B.S. in
Accounting must be earned at Elon.
Admissions Deadlines
The priority deadline for transfer application for the fall
semester is June 1; for spring semester, December 1. After
these dates, applications will be considered on a
space-available basis.
