Make your deposit early and get the best of both worlds
Once you have
been accepted to Elon, there are several advantages to making
your $500 enrollment deposit as soon as possible:
- Priority for housing selection and course registration is assigned based on date of enrollment deposit. So the sooner you make your deposit, the higher priority you will receive.
- Students who have paid their enrollment deposits are invited to attend a Spring Orientation Weekend. This is a great opportunity to take a first, second or even third look at Elon to make your final decision. You'll also meet other incoming freshmen -- maybe even a future roommate!
- Spring Orientation includes a special presentation called "How to Survive (or Not Survive) in College." This will provide you with great tips on time management, how to handle college classes, getting used to a new college environment and much more. And your parents will be getting their very own "How to Survive" presentation so they can prepare for the dreaded "I'm dropping my baby off at college" day.
Keep in mind that even if you attend
one of these weekends you are not bound to enroll at Elon.
The enrollment deposit is fully refundable as long as
we receive notice in writing from you by May 1. $200
of your deposit is refundable until June 15. So you can have
second thoughts!
Please note that if there are other circumstances preventing
you from attending Elon now, you will always have the option
to apply as a transfer student! Elon offers transfer
opportunities in the fall and spring semesters.
