Teaching is the top priority for Elon's 358 full-time professors - you'll never take a course taught by a graduate student. Classes are small (the average size is 21) so students can get to know their instructors. In fact, nearly 95 percent of graduating senior report having a friendly, supportive relationship with faculty.
U.S.News & World Report even named Elon the #1school "Focused on Their Undergrads" in the magazine's 2011 “America’s Best Colleges” rankings.
For students who want to go above and beyond a traditional college experience, Elon offers the opportunity to spend a semester, summer or year conducting original research with a faculty mentor. You'll take on work more typically found at the graduate level and work with your professor as a junior colleague. More than one third of Elon students choose to work with their professors beyond course requirements.
