Writing Across the University
Designed to support the teaching and learning of writing across Elon’s entire campus, the Writing Across the University Program offers a range of resources and activities, such as faculty development workshops, writing institutes, writing pedagogy grants, writing scholarship grants, writing groups, boot camps, and individual consultations for faculty members.
Although Elon has completed the 5th year of its Writing Excellence Initiative, our selected QEP topic for SACS accreditation, the WAU program will continue to support faculty and staff in enhancing the teaching and learning of writing on our campus. Please visit our Writing Excellence Initiative webpage to learn more about our efforts to prepare every Elon student to be an excellent writer. In particular, you may be interested in reading the writing outcomes developed by every major, the Core curriculum, and Student Life; reviewing a snapshot of the culture of writing and infrastructure we’ve created to support student writing; and hearing about some of our accomplishments.
