The Center for Leadership will be sponsoring or partnering to host the following events:

Spring 2026

Help us celebrate everyday student leadership at Elon University!

  • Do you know someone who exemplifies everyday leadership?
  • Someone who leads with integrity, fosters collaboration, or serves their community?
  • Someone who prioritizes the common good through thier actions, regardless of title or formal position?

Nominate students between March 2-20, 2026 to celebrate their impact. Students will be recognized April 6 – 10th by the Center for Leadership through a social media campaign and will receive a token of our appreciation for their meaningful leadership efforts.

NOMINATE A STUDENT

Wednesday, March 11, 2026

In honor of Women’s History Month, we’ve partnered for the third year with the Center for Race, Ethnicity, and Diversity Education (CREDE) to celebrate ALANAM female-identifying authors.  Drop by either office, while supplies last, to receive a book.  We’ve got some great ones!

During the Spring Semester, the Center for Leadership will offer a new leadership learning opportunity!  The Elevate Leadership Program is an immersive leadership experience designed for Elon students who are preparing

for upcoming or current leadership roles. Elevate builds on the foundation of the Phoenix Leaders Program while remaining open to any Elon student interested in strengthening their leadership capacity and impact.

We are excited to invite you to attend this year’s Intersect Diversity and Leadership Event in recognition of the National Day of Racial Healing, taking place on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in McKinnon.

This year, we are honored to welcome Spirit Tawfiq as our keynote speaker. Spirit is the daughter of Minnijean Brown-Trickey, one of the Little Rock Nine—the courageous group of students who integrated Little Rock Central High School in 1957. Through her storytelling and leadership work, Spirit carries forward her mother’s powerful legacy of resilience, justice, and healing. The Intersect Diversity and Leadership event provides a unique opportunity for our community to reflect, connect, and engage in meaningful dialogue about identity, leadership, and social change.
