Elevate Leadership Program

During the Spring Semester, the Center for Leadership offers the Elevate Leadership Program, an immersive leadership experience designed for Elon students who are preparing for upcoming or current leadership roles. Elevate builds on the foundation of the Phoenix Leaders Program while remaining open to any Elon student interested in strengthening their leadership capacity and impact.

The Elevate Leadership Program invites students into a collaborative and practice-oriented leadership journey focused on leading groups, communicating effectively, navigating conflict, and leading with integrity. Through interactive sessions, experiential activities, and guided reflection, participants will deepen their understanding of who they are as leaders and how they can positively influence their communities at Elon and beyond.

Throughout the program, students engage with Center for Leadership professional staff and peers who are equally committed to growth and positive change. Participants build meaningful connections within the cohort while developing practical leadership skills they can immediately apply in student organizations, employment, and community involvement.

The Center for Leadership hopes to equip students in the Elevate Leadership Program with the skills, values, and confidence necessary to create positive change and lead with purpose at Elon University.

Learning Outcomes

Students participating in the Elevate Leadership Program will:

  • Strengthen hands-on group leadership skills, including delegation, motivation, and goal setting
  • Collaborate effectively with peers to manage tasks, initiatives, and shared goals
  • Reflect on leadership decisions and identify areas for continued growth
  • Articulate personal values and understand how those values inform leadership decisions
  • Analyze ethical dilemmas and consider multiple perspectives when making leadership choices
  • Practice communication, facilitation, and conflict management strategies in group settings

How to Participate

The Elevate Leadership Program is open to all Elon University students. Students interested in participating can apply through the application form here by Sunday, February 15th at 11:59pm

Participation in the Elevate Leadership Program is FREE.

Elevate Leadership Commitment

Students interested in participating in the Elevate Leadership Program must:

  • Complete the application by the stated deadline
  • Demonstrate a commitment to personal leadership development
  • Attend all scheduled program sessions, including the Elevate Leadership Symposium
  • Actively engage in program activities and build relationships with fellow participants
