Application Type

Elon accepts both online and paper applications. No preference will be shown in the admissions decision. Online applications are strongly encouraged; however, a credit card is required when you apply online unless you have been issued an SAT fee waiver. With an SAT fee waiver, you can apply for an Elon fee waiver. You will have the opportunity to review criteria for an Online Application Fee Waiver after creating your online application account.

PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT MORE THAN ONE COPY OF YOUR APPLICATION. If you apply electronically, DO NOT send a printed copy as well.

If you are submitting a paper application and sending it by courier, please mail the package to Campus Box 2700, 100 Campus Drive, Elon, NC 27244.

All applicants must submit:

  • Completed application and nonrefundable $50 fee
  • Official high school transcript
  • SAT or ACT scores with writing
  • Completed Counselor Evaluation Form (included in the application)

International students

All students, regardless of nationality, complete the freshman application.

All international students must also submit a Certificate of Financial Responsibility (CFR).

Transfer

Transfer admission application (PDF)

All applicants must submit:

  • Completed application and nonrefundable $50 fee
  • The Dean's Evaluation Form, which must be completed by the deans of all colleges attended verifying eligibility. (This form is not required if the student has received an associate degree.)
  • Official transcripts from all two-year and four-year colleges/universities attended
  • A final official high school transcript and SAT or ACT scores sent. The SAT/ACT may be waived for some advanced students or nontraditional students who did not take the test while in high school.
