A Distinctive 3+Co-op Experience

Complete three years on Elon’s campus followed by a full academic year of immersive, full-time professional experience in Charlotte, one of the nation’s fastest-growing business hubs. Graduates stand out to employers and graduate schools as professionals ready to lead with heart, curiosity and courage.

Curricular Pathway

First Year

Gateway to Business (BUS 1110)
Explore humane business practices and develop foundational leadership skills.

Second Year

Principles of Management (MGT 3230)
Examine how management decisions shape people, performance, and organizational culture.

Third Year

Business Problem-Solving and Decision Making (BUS 3650)
Strengthen consulting, teamwork, and analytical skills through real-world business projects.

Fourth Year

Business Consulting (BUS 4990, Charlotte)
Lead a yearlong consulting engagement during your full-time Charlotte residency.

Optional Winter Term

Winter Term Global Experience
Immerse yourself in a new culture and develop a global mindset through short-term study abroad.

Scholarship Opportunity

Students selected for the program receive a competitive $12,000 annual scholarship, renewable each year for those in good standing.

Who Should Apply

The 3+Co-op program is competitive and accepts only a limited number of incoming first-year students. Students with a record of leadership and service or a minimum 3.8 GPA who plan to major: Accounting, Business Analytics, Economic Consulting, Economics, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Finance, Financial Technology, Human Resource Management, International Business, Marketing, Project Management or Supply Chain Management

How to Apply

Step 1: Apply for first-year admission to Elon University

Submit the Common Application or Elon Application with the $60 fee, official transcript(s), and Secondary School Report by:

Early Decision: November 1
Early Action: November 1
Regular Deadline: January 10*

If applying under the Regular Deadline, submit your first-year application by November 15 and the 3+Co-op application by December 1.

Step 2: Submit the 3+Co-op application

After you apply for first-year admission, access your Elon Acorn Account (admissions.elon.edu/status) to complete and submit the 3+Co-op Program application by December 1.

Students applying through the Common Application will receive Acorn log-in details one day after submitting their application.

Step 3: Interview process

Finalists are notified in mid-December and invited to interviews on February 6–7, 2026.

Note:
Decisions for the 3+Co-op Program are released after January 10. Students who need scholarship information before committing should not apply Early Decision.

What are the career outcomes for Love School of Business graduates?

Within nine months of graduation, 86–91% of LSB graduates are employed, with another 10–14% pursuing graduate school. For the Class of 2024, 86% were employed and 12% were in graduate school just three months after graduation. Graduates also report strong starting salaries: the Class of 2024 earned a median of $70,000 and a mean of $71,889, continuing a steady upward trend over the past seven years.

Where do Love School of Business graduates go after Elon?

Our alumni launch careers at leading organizations such as Deloitte, EY, PwC, Microsoft, BlackRock, Vanguard, JPMorgan Chase, Bloomberg and Wells Fargo. Others pursue advanced study at prestigious graduate programs including NYU, Vanderbilt University, the University of Virginia School of Law, George Washington Law and the American University of Paris.

What makes the Elon business experience distinctive?

The Love School of Business is nationally recognized for its “high-impact” educational practices that prepare students for real-world success. Nearly every student completes an internship (96% for the Class of 2025), while many study abroad or participate in Study USA (77%), engage in service learning (77%), or hold leadership roles (45%). Students also collaborate closely with faculty on original research projects, with 11% of the Class of 2025 completing undergraduate research and presenting at forums such as Elon’s Spring Undergraduate Research Forum (SURF) and national conferences.

What degrees and programs does the Love School of Business offer?

Students can pursue B.S., B.S.B.A., and B.A. degrees across majors such as Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management and more. Minors include Professional Sales, Cybersecurity Management and Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Special pathways include a 3+1 Accelerated Dual Degree and an International Business Dual Degree.

How does the Love School of Business support global learning?

77% of the Class of 2025 studied abroad or participated in Study USA, making global engagement a cornerstone of the Elon experience. Through the International Business Dual Degree, students can also study for two years at a partner university in Europe or Latin America, graduating with two business degrees.

What scholarships are available?

The Love School of Business offers a wide variety of endowed scholarships in addition to merit-, talent- and/or need-based scholarships available through Elon. Scholarships are competitive and often support study abroad, internships or research. Students also apply for national and outside scholarships each year.
