Join us in the Moseley Center to celebrate projects, make some things of your own, grab some free stuff, and even check out our escape room!

Things to See
Come celebrate over 35 projects made by students, including Elon Kickbox and Maker Hub Consultants projects! Our Kickboxers are making 13 amazing projects that range from a robot cat to devices for children with disabilities to gain more independence. These makers are taking their passions, skills they’ve learned in the classroom, and a maker mindset to create things that are innovative, helpful or sustainable. See their projects in action at the Maker Takeover!

Things to Do
Enter our student-made escape room
That’s right – we’ve made an escape room! Unlock the mystery of the haunting of West Hall in this short, but intense challenge. Race against the clock to find the evidence you need and get out before it’s too late!
Maker Escape will be open from 4:30-9:30 on April 27. Each group of 6 will have 25 minutes to escape. Sign-up in person at the Maker Takeover, beginning at 4:30.
Test your skill with mini-cornhole
Challenge others with the ultimate cornhole tourney (mini edition)! Also, learn about our tool trainings that could prepare you to make your very own set.
Eat ice cream
Elon Dining will be making ice cream using liquid nitrogen! There’ll also be a toppings bar so you can make your own creation.
Play a retro-arcade game
Jump back to the past using amazing technology of the present with these throw-back games on a Raspberry Pi microcomputer.
Make a button
Create the perfect accessory for your bag or jacket with a custom-designed and drawn button with this quick and simple craft!
Make a custom sticker
Learn how to use the vinyl cutter with the help of our student staff and either pick up a Maker Hub sticker or design your own.
