2023 Summer Housing Information
Summer housing will be available on campus in the Global Neighborhood (for summer 2023). These buildings have community kitchens on each floor. Students will need to provide their own food, cooking utensils and flatware. Please note that meal plans are not available during the summer, only Phoenix dollars can be used for locations off-campus. Summer housing staff will be available to assist residents with maintenance concerns, offer programmatic activities sponsored by residence life and assist with other needs of the summer residents.
Summer Elon students will be prorated on a daily rate based on their check out date upon completion of a successful move out.
Move out for Summer Housing
When moving out of your space, keys need to be turned into the key box outside the Global office space. Once check out has been completed a member of the Residence Life team will confirm that the correct key has been turned in and the space has been checked for any damage. If a student moves out prior to the end of the session, upon completion of the check-out process, their account will be adjusted based on the days remaining in the program.
In the event a key is lost, a check out form still needs to be completed and turned into Global. A Residence Life staff member will process the key charge and will post it to the student’s account.
Housing between Summer Session II and Fall 2023
Students that wish to move from summer housing into their Fall 2023 housing assignments will need to be approved by their Elon program Supervisor and will be treated as an early arrival. Approval for both early arrivals and moving from summer to fall must be approved in advance by the Office of Residence Life.
If you are not a part of an Elon program, the office of residence life will help students on a case-by-case basis.
Students living in Crest apartments will not be able to move into their apartment until their leases begin. Extenuating circumstances around Elon programs will need to be communicated in advance to Residence Life as well as the specific Program Directors. Students that are not part of an early arrival program and will reside at Crest will need to reach out to residence life (email@example.com) directly to obtain approval as an early arrival.
