Welcome to the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business Web Site. In the Love School of Business, we know that success in business requires more than textbooks and classroom lectures. As a leader in transformative business education, we have three interrelated goals:

  • Transforming students into knowledgeable, responsible business professionals and leaders.
  • Transforming business education process and delivery by integrating theory and practice.
  • Transforming organizational growth through a collaborative partnership arrangement involving students and faculty.

Our faculty members bring hands-on experience to the classroom. Many of them were (and still are) practicing professionals. Executives participate in many of our classes as guest speakers. Cases and simulations facilitate the mastery of concepts discussed in class. Domestic and study abroad experiences give students a broad perspective of the local and global economy. Research and consulting projects hone innovation, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

We require all undergraduates to participate in an internship prior to graduation to prepare them for their future roles in business enterprises. And we engage students and executives in extensive and intensive personal assessments and management practicums to facilitate development of leadership skills.

Our MBA program is ranked #12 in the nation among hundreds of part-time programs, #2 in the south, and it is the top-ranked program in North Carolina, based on data compiled by BusinessWeek. These rankings are a testament to the quality of the educational programs we provide for all of our students. The Princeton Review ranked our MBA program #7 for best classroom experience, right behind Harvard.

Whether you are an undergraduate looking for the best business school to pursue your degree, a professional ready to move to the next phase of your career through graduate study, or an executive seeking to advance your career, the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business at Elon is the place to be!
