International Applicants: Non–U.S. Citizens applying for Transfer Admissions
Elon's Office of International Admissions processes applications for the following students:
U.S. permanent residents (green card holders)
U.S. citizens in schools anywhere outside the country
A student can obtain a transfer admissions application from the Office of International Admissions—or you may apply online or download a copy of the application.
To apply for transfer admissions to Elon University, students must submit:

Completed undergraduate application
Nonrefundable US$50 application fee
Translated final transcripts from all secondary schools attended
Official SAT or ACT score: Please note that SAT/ACT may be waived for some advanced or nontraditional students who did not take the test while in high school. Elon's school code for the SAT is 5183 and for the ACT, it is 3096.
Official transcripts from each college/postsecondary institution you have attended.
- Dean’s Evaluation Form completed by the dean of students from each college you have attended.
o You must be eligible to return there to qualify to transfer to Elon University.
o This form is not required if you have earned an associate’s degree.
Official TOEFL score should be submitted with SAT 1 for non-native English speakers
o Elon's school code for the TOEFL exam is (5183).
o Students whose primary language is English or if a student’s language of instruction is English are not required to take the TOEFL exam.
o Elon University’s minimum TOEFL scores are as follows:
• Internet-based test (iBt): 80
• Paper-based test: 550
• Computer-based: 213
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) may be taken in place of the TOEFL test.
o Elon’s minimum score on the IELTS test: 6.5
The following information is not required for the application review process; however, it is required if a student is accepted and plans to enroll at Elon University:

Elon offers students college credit for Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs on a course-by-course basis, depending on the level, subject and score achieved on the appropriate exam. We also recognize the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and the British "A" levels. Additionally, the French Baccalaureate, German Arbitur or Swiss Maturite may also be considered for credit. Advanced standing is not granted until students have been admitted and the official report of exam results is received and evaluated.
Elon University's cost can be found on the Financial Aid website. Please note that this amount does not include transportation costs, books, other assorted living expenses, and health insurance.
All Elon University students are required to have health insurance. Students may purchase a school-sponsored health insurance plan or may waive this option if they are currently covered by a comparable insurance plan of their own.
