Where is Elon?

Elon is situated in the beautiful Piedmont section of North Carolina. The town of Elon is adjacent to Burlington, known for its textile manufacturers and outlet shopping. Greensboro is twenty minutes to the west. Winston-Salem, Durham, Chapel Hill and Raleigh are all within an hour's drive, as are more than a dozen other colleges and universities including Duke, Wake Forest, N.C. State and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Elon is also centrally located between the mountains and the beaches. The mountains are 2 1/2 hours to the west, and North and South Carolina beaches are 3 to 4 1/2 hours to the east. The nearest major airport is Piedmont Triad International (www.flyfrompti.com) located in Greensboro, just 30 minutes from campus. Raleigh/Durham International Airport (www.rdu.com) is also convenient -- about an hour's drive from Elon.
