The Holidays at Elon SGA officers help prepare for the 2008
The Elon community gathers each year to share hot chocolate and cider, sing Christmas carols and other seasonal songs,
light the Menorah in celebration of Hanukkah,
and stroll through 1,500 luminarias. Campus buildings and trees are lit with thousands of holiday lights. There is also an opportunity for you to enjoy
a magical ride on the Little Blue Choo! (a mini-sized train offering rides to children of all ages).
Brought from Germany to Old Salem, North Carolina, by early Moravian settlers, this traditional Christmas service celebrates the Advent season with a special service. It consists of a simple meal of sweet buns and coffee, and features seasonal music, including selections rendered by bell choirs, the chancel choir, organ and oboe. A candlelight service forms the climax of this special celebration, as the congregation sings the traditional carol "Morning Star." The Love Feast service is held at the Elon Community Church on Williamson Street. All members of the Elon community are welcome. | ||
