Congratulations on your acceptance to Elon University and welcome to the Elon community! You are joining over 3500 other residential students in a premier learning environment. As the process to select housing preferences begins, this site is designed to provide you and your family information about living on campus. As you read through the materials carefully, please let us know if you have questions.
During the fall selection process, incoming students are asked to provide information about their lifestyle and housing preferences. This includes information about living learning communities (LLCs) in which you would like to participate, as well as preferences for residential neighborhoods or roommates (if you already have one in mind). Housing assignments are based on the enrollment deposit date, starting with assigning interested students to LLCs and then assigning students who are not interested in an LLC. Housing assignments are sent to students in mid-July.
Once assignments are emailed to all students no room changes will be considered until two weeks after classes begin. This room freeze is necessary for us to assure all students have moved-in as scheduled and also allows students the time needed to begin developing a positive and healthy relationship with their roommate(s).
